Our weekly meetings are facilitated by volunteers who have lost a job just like you over the years and we share our expertise in job search techniques. We’ve experienced the same issues and concerns you’re experiencing.

40Plus mentors facilitate these networking support meetings providing information, resources, and support until you land your next role. We will travel this journey right along your side until you land.

Accountability and support groups meetings

Meetings are offered on Monday, Friday and Saturday mornings, occasionally on Wednesday evening and periodic workshops all of which are hosted by experienced volunteers, enabling networking, providing coaching and support to attending job seekers. Note: Job search doesn’t stop and our support doesn’t, either. If one of our meetings falls on a legal holiday, that meeting may be canceled. Always look at the calendar for any cancellations. Otherwise, you can count on a meeting being held as scheduled. Scroll down to see the schedule and contacts for each meeting. See below for the schedule.

Did You Know?

Attendance at 40plus weekly meetings count as a “work seeking activity” for unemployment purposes

You must complete four valid work search activities during each week you are claiming UI benefits to satisfy the work search requirement and maintain your eligibility for UI. Claimants can claim attendance for any weekly meeting as “Non-mandatory re-employment services” or “Meeting with a career counselor” for three of your four activities. Networking with a 40Plus Career Coach counts as well. Networking with another job seeker does not. Simply write in “40Plus of Southeastern Wisconsin Job Seekers” for the activity on your unemployment claim submission.

Claimants must be registered with the Department of Workforce Development to request unemployment benefits.
