Effective Resume Template

RESUME

Must present yourself as the solution of the Hiring manager. Present your area(s) of expertise.

BACKGROUND SUMMARY
Include name(s) of your expertise……….with 20 years of progressively responsible ………..expertise. Areas of expertise include:
- – -
- – -
- – -

Is your resume shown in Microsoft word? It should be in word or text format. Don’t use an Objective on the resume (hiring managers do not care in the least about your objectives). I am sure you have a great background, but showing a listing(s) of responsibilities is not of interest to hiring managers.

How long have you been looking for a position?
How many resumes have you submitted?
How many interviews were generated from those resumes?
Have you received any job offers?

I suggest you use the CAR approach in your search.
C-challenge
A-approach
R-results
Think CAR, write CAR, interview CAR.

In the body of your resume, use as few words as possible and only effective ones pertaining to the job position in question In short use:

1) Action verbs
2) Nouns (subject’s)
3) Results achieved
Use your imagination when defining the results achieved

Bullets related to each respective position title should be:
-no longer than one line long
-concise/selected # of words
Use the English language to help reduce the # of words.
